Amanda & Chris

Amanda and Chris live just outside Glasgow in a very cramped house with their three children, so when the opportunity emerges to self-build a generous family home close to the city centre, they jump at it. But with little previous experience of self-build and a limited budget, they decide to forego the services of an architect and design the house themselves, an ambitious timber clad box with patterned brick.

We also return to Joanna and Ben who built an American ranch style house and have been adding to their unique vision – making it a standout in central Glasgow.
